Here are a series of ads that appeared in the special section of the Calgary Herald that announced the opening of the Calgary Trend House to the public for 4 months in April 1954. It’s fun to see some of the suppliers and graphics from the time, and it is clear that this was a pretty big deal at the time.

The advertisers cover everything from insulation to mechanical systems, to the guy who poured the concrete. Companies include: General Electric Canada, Arbourite, Strain Electric, Pilkington Glass, Linoleum, Fiberglas Canada, EMCo Plumbing, Sherwin-Williams, and Eatons.
